Course introduction:	Clearly defined professional boundaries benefit everyone. In this three-module course you will begin by reflecting upon your own professional boundaries and distinguish between actions that can impact your professional relationships positively and negatively. In the second module you will build a range of actionable skills, strategies, and techniques to help you communicate better. In the third and final module you will focus on parents and young carers, all whilst refining an approach to communication that enables positive communication to flourish. Ultimately, this course will enable you to confidently maintain your professional boundaries and build successful working relationships.
Course objectives:	Appreciate and understand effective professional boundaries Build a safe working environment and working relationships based on clear professional boundaries Use techniques and strategies to build empathy and trust whilst reducing barriers Use appropriate communication to deal with situations more effectively (questioning, body language, vocabulary). Build stronger and more cooperative relationships with families using a range of strategies and actions
