Course introduction:	We handle other people’s information everyday – from personal data, such as names and addresses, to more sensitive information, such as health or financial records. If this information is stolen, not recorded accurately, or is lost or disclosed to unauthorised people, the implications for that person, and for your organisation, could be very serious. In this course, we’ll be looking at information and cyber security in line with the UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and what you can do to ensure you are handling information safely and securely.
Course objectives:	Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll have a good knowledge of: Understand the importance of keeping data secure Know what needs to be protected Learn about the risks to data and data systems Know the key steps to keeping data secure Learn how to create a strong password Learn about the ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ when communicating with other people Understand what to do if you think information might be at risk
